LGBT History Month takes place in Scotland every February. It is an opportunity to celebrate LGBT lives and culture, by exploring our own and others’ histories in a LGBT context. It is also an opportunity for learning, discussion and debate around the continued fight for LGBT liberation.
If you would like to download some of our History Month Resources please visit our History Month Resource page here.
Every year LGBT Youth Scotland works in partnership with a wide range of organisations, community groups and service providers to deliver a diverse programme of arts, cultural and educational events across the country. History Month is for everyone, LGBT and non-LGBT alike, bringing people together in the spirit of celebration, remembrance and dialogue.
The 2015 theme for LGBT History Month is education. Our LGBT History Month brochure has information on events happening across Scotland and presents the history of LGBT equality in education in a visual format. If you work in a school or local authority, we have document for celebrating LGBT History Month in education.
