lgbt youth scotland bike project

Young people in Edinburgh gear up to learn new skills, receive accreditation, and get support to move on to new employment destinations. Seven young people attended LGBT Youth Scotland’s Edinburgh youth space to take part in a bike building session with Rural and Urban Training Scheme Ltd. (RUTS). Young people are taking part in sessions over a six week period to boost their employability skills as they build a bike that they can keep. During the first session young people had fun getting to know each other, and learning how to fix a puncture.

One young person who took part commented: “I liked how patient everyone was with each other and how it was proactive straight away. It was really fun”
