Voting Open to Elect Two Members of Scottish Youth Parliament to Represent LGBT Young People

LGBT Youth Scotland gets set to
elect two Members of Scottish Youth Parliament to represent LGBT young people’s voices at Scottish Youth Parliament (SYP) for the next two years.

The Scottish Youth Parliament is the democratically elected voice of Scotland’s young people. They are a young people’s parliament, designed by young people and led by young people for the benefit of young people. They are committed to ensuring young people are heard by the decision makers of Scotland and they are determined to campaign on the issues which matter most to Scotland’s young people.

LGBT Youth Scotland has organisational membership within the Scottish Youth Parliament. We hold two MSYP (Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament) seats with SYP to ensure that LGBT young people’s needs from across Scotland are brought back to SYP, discussed and acted upon.

Four young candidates have put themselves forward for election.

Young people across Scotland age 13-25 can cast their votes online from Wednesday 27th May to Wednesday 3rd of June at 5pm.

Results will be announced on Thursday 4th of June!
