Ceremony to Celebrate LGBT Young People's Achievements

This weekend LGBT Youth Scotland will celebrate the achievements of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) young people at the National LGBT Youth Awards 2013. Awards will be presented to young people, youth groups and organisations committed to improving services for LGBT young people.  We will be joined on the night by the Minister for Commonwealth Games and Sport, Shona Robison MSP, who will present an Award.

Gary Lamont, of BBC Scotland’s “River City” will be our host for the evening. Last year, Gary won the LGBT Inspiration Award, voted for by young people from LGBT Youth Scotland.

Fergus McMillan, Chief Executive of LGBT Youth Scotland said, “We’re very excited about the opportunity to celebrate the immense achievements of LGBT young people and the organisations that support them.”
