International Transgender Day of Remembrance

Today marks Transgender Day of Remembrance, where we recognise and remember those lost to hate, ignorance and prejudice. Transgender Europe's Transgender Murder Project reports 238 murders of Trans* people in the past year across the world.  On the 20th November each year we celebrate their lives and pledge to fight on for full Trans* inclusion in Scotland and beyond.

Young people from LGBT Youth Scotland have created a Trans* awareness video resource and accompanying resources to use in educational and youth-based settings.  This campaign seeks to address the discrimination which many Trans* young people face on a daily basis and provide a useful resource for people to use in their communities.
