Youth Work Director, Hugh Torrance, on trip to research LGBT Community Development in the USA

Youth Work Director, Hugh Torrance, has recently been successful in an application to the Winston Churchill Memorial Trust.  Hugh is currently travelling across the USA researching approaches to community development with LGBT communities and initatives to tackle homophobic and transphobic bullying.  The Fellowship awards are intended for individuals to travel overseas and bring back knowledge and best practice for the benefit of others in the UK.

Hugh is visiting organisations who work with LGBT young people and is intending on applying the knowledge he gains to LGBT Youth Scotland's future development.  To keep up to date with Hugh's travels check out his blog here.
