Get your walking shoes on and look out your tartan.

This spring and summer you can get on your walking shoes and head out with a touch of tartan to take part in the Kiltwalk for LGBT Youth Scotland.

Whether it’s The Wee Wander, The Big Stroll or The Mighty Stride there’s a distance to suit your legs and with Kiltwalks taking place in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Speyside and Edinburgh you shouldn’t have too far to go to join up.

You can walk on your own or you can get a team of friends together, either way a Kiltwalk is a great way to meet people as you get fit, enjoy the scenery and make new friends as you walk.

Visit the Kiltwalk website to register and select LGBT Youth Scotland as your charity and 100% of the money you raise will support vulnerable lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people across Scotland, providing a lifeline for young people ‘coming out’ and ‘staying out’, exchanging fear and isolation for friends, support and a new start in life.

“I am much more confident in myself. The support of the workers and people attending the group assured me that I was valid, meaning I was at last able to come out to my friends and parents. Honestly, if I hadn't taken that step there might not have been a life to make a difference to, and the support I was given has helped me no end.”
