Challenge Homophobia: LGBT Youth Scotland and NUS Scotland

Challenging Homophobia

LGBT Youth Scotland and NUS Scotland

NUS Scotland LGBT
and LGBT Youth Scotland are repeatedly told by LGBT students that they would like to make a difference to younger LGBT people.  One of the methods we hear that students would like the opportunity to take part in is going into schools to speak directly to young people and teachers.

As a result, LGBT Youth Scotland and NUS Scotland are conducting a survey as part of LGBT Youth Scotland’s two year European funded project in partnership with LGBT organisations in Slovenia and Poland.  The project and survey will explore what resources, skills and support students and student officers would need to run workshops on LGBT issues in schools.

The project will train students and provide guidance and ideas about how to engage with schools.  It may also provide on-going support depending on the results of this consultation.

LGBT Youth Scotland’s main aim is to get better and smarter about how we include, involve and work with students in further and higher education and your opinion is very valuable to us.

Completing this survey will take 5-10 minutes of your time and your answers will be extremely valuable to us.  The answers you give in this questionnaire will be anonymous and will be fully respected.  Please try and answer as many of the questions as you can.
