Youth Link Awards Volunteer of the Year Finalist!

LGBT Youth Scotland youth work volunteer Craig Boyd celebrates a finalist nomination for Volunteer of the Year at Youth Link Awards Dinner on 13th of March 2104.
Craig (second in from right hand side in photograph), a volunteer with Flavours of Fife group, was nominated by LGBT Youth Scotland for Volunteer of the Year category. We were delighted to see that Craig was selected as a finalist.
Craig came to volunteer with us as a youth worker two years ago, and since that time his achievements have been outstanding. He has changed the face of the lgbt community in Fife.  Prior to Craig working with us, there was very little for the community.  Craig spearheaded the development of a fife lgbt social night, and he was instrumental in assisting us to set up a Fife group.
The Awards, run by YouthLink Scotland, recognise and celebrate outstanding achievement with young people by managers, practitioners, peer educators, teams and individuals who work within Scotland’s youth work sector.

The 7th National Youth Worker of the Year Awards were an outstanding showcase of the remarkable work that is being done right across the Scotland. Well done Craig, and all other nominees for great contributions to youth work and young people!
