National Learning Network comes to Stirling

LGBT Youth Scotland and Youth Scotland are hosting the July National Learning Network in Stirling.This is an event consisting of training, best practice sharing, and advice and support around working with lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people.                                                                                      
The network is aimed at Youth and Community Workers, Youth Work Volunteers and other professionals working with young people, but all are welcome.                                                                                                  

The next event will be held in Stirling on Tuesday 2nd July 2013 at the Raploch Community Campus.

Included in the day will be the following:

Morning session 10.30-12.45 - Transgender Inclusion:                                  

A taster session for increasing knowledge and understanding of transgender identities and issues, including definitions, important legislation and ensuring your service is trans* inclusive.                        

Afternoon session 13.15-15.00 Youth Participation:                                      

Youth Scotland will lead a taster session of their Bored Meetings Training - an engaging course to provide young people with a wide range of committee skills.      

15.00 - 16.00, LGBT Surgery, an opportunity for network members to get advice and support from LGBT Youth Scotland and other members about working with LGBT young people. This will also include spotlights from different areas to share best practice and increase partnership working.
