Staff Training

LGBT Youth Scotland has several years of experience in delivering training to a range of professionals, including to teachers and other staff working in schools.

Training sessions delivered in the past have included:

  • Understanding the needs of LGBT young people
  • Challenging homophobia and homophobic bullying
  • Supporting LGBT young people

 

Training for schools complements the Dealing with Homophobia and Homophobic Bullying in Scottish Schools toolkit. Sessions can be adapted according to participant needs but are broadly designed to give participants the opportunity to explore LGBT issues and gain confidence in challenging homophobia and addressing these issues with young people.
