Challenging Homophobia Together: Schools Conference 2009

Challenging Homophobia Together: Schools Conference 2009

The Challenging Homophobia Together Schools Conference 2009 brought together over 150 delegates working in Scottish schools to learn more about the issues facing LGBT young people and to develop skills and strategies to address homophobic attitudes and homophobic bullying in schools.

This conference has been made possible by the kind support of the Equality and Human Rights Commission and our other conference and campaign partners, respectme, Scotland’s Anti Bullying Service, and the Educational Institute of Scotland (EIS).

Our thanks also to those who contributed to the day’s agenda: Learning and Teaching Scotland, Reduce Abuse, No Outsiders, ChildLine Scotland, Enquire and Parent’s Enquiry.

Coming soon: full conference report with photos of the day, workshop presentations and participants’ promises and action points.
