Elections for NYC Members will take place on the 1st of August 2010 at the LGBT Youth Scotland National Gathering.
To stand for election as an NYC Member you
must submit a
one minute video or written speech saying why you think your group should elect you to the NYC:
We must receive your video or speech by the 16th of July 2010. We will accept videos in any format (e.g. from mobile phones, webcam, video cameras etc). As long as it can be uploaded onto a computer and sent to Paul or Connie, then go for it!
At the National Gathering, young people from your local area will have a chance to view your video or hear your speech. They will then cast their votes.
Interested in the NYC Elder position?
To be eligible for the NYC Elder position you must have already served two terms or more on the NYC.
To become an NYC Elder you must submit your nomination form along with a short statement (no longer than an A4 page) saying why you think you would make a good NYC Elder.
After the National Gathering a ‘judging panel’ of a NYC’ers will pick the best two statements. This decides who will be the NYC Elders for the NYC term.
