New Volunteering Opportunities Announced

LGBT Youth Scotland has just announced a range of brand new volunteering opportunities to help support LGBT young people in Scotland.

If you are aged 16-25 and want to get involved, you can take part in LGBT Youth Scotland's ground-breaking Green Light Campaign, or become a Project Scotland Volunteer.

We are looking for two enthusiastic and committed young people (16 – 25) from five different areas in Scotland (Aberdeen, Dundee, Fife, Perth & The Borders) to become our first ever Green Light Leaders. This will involve coming on a two day training residential to learn about ‘coming out’ as lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender (LGBT).  To sign up for this project, please click here to have a look at the Green Light page in the Get Involved Section.

We are also looking for ten young people (16-25) to become Online Supporters when the LGBT Youth Scotland Forums are re-launched in February 2009.  Online Supporters will also be invited to attend the Green Light training residential along with the Green Light Leaders.  To find out more and sign up, please click here to have a look at the Online Supporters section in the Green Light pages.

LGBT Youth Scotland is also recruiting three Project Scotland Volunteers across Scotland (Dumfries and Galloway, and Glasgow).  We are looking for two Youth Work Assistants who will work alongside our Youth Programmes Team in delivering direct services for LGBT young people, and a Policy, Research and Training Team Volunteer to work with our Policy and Research Team.
