The Regent Bar Raises Over £1000 for LGBT Youth Scotland

LGBT Youth Scotland would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff and customers at the Regent Bar for showing their commitment to the lives of LGBT young people in Scotland.  Along with volunteers from LGBT Youth Scotland, the Regent Bar have worked tirelessly to raise funds by stretching the minds of their customers through their monthly ‘world famous Regent quiz’.

Recently, the 1st birthday quiz on the 23rd February saw 57 people attend and raised £85.50

Past themes of the quiz have included:

• Spooky Halloween Special
• Spiced up event in partnership with Spicebox
• A fresh look at the quiz in partnership with LUSH
• Chocolate eggs to celebrate Easter
• World Aids Day

The staff at LGBT Youth Scotland can hardly believe that it has been 12 months since the quiz was launched and February 2010 saw the volunteer team celebrate their first birthday with a spectacular birthday quiz and the announcement that £1121 has been raised during the year.

Once again, thank you to everyone involved, with a special mention to Siobhan Redmond for taking the reigns and whipping the quiz into shape!
