Sexual Health and Relationship Questionnaire for LGBQ people in Glasgow
What this questionnaire is about
This questionnaire is about young people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual or questioning (LGBQ) and their relationship with their parents.
We know that parental attitudes and parents’ relationship they have with their children can influence sexual health behaviour. This is true for young people who are straight. We want to find out whether this is the same or different for young people who are LGBQ.
We want to hear from you if you are:
• Aged between 13 and 21
• Live in Glasgow City, Renfrewshire, East Renfrewshire, West Dunbartonshire, East Dunbartonshire or Inverclyde
• Identify as lesbian, gay or bisexual or questioning
Things you need to know before doing this questionnaire
1) Completing this questionnaire is entirely voluntary.
2) Your answers are completely anonymous – nothing can be traced back to you. If you would like to be entered into the iPod draw, you will be asked for a first name, and your email address or mobile number so we can contact you.
3) If you are going to take part, please be honest.
4) We appreciate that it is quite long – please bear with us on this as we think all the questions are important.
5) Not all the questions are relevant to everyone. Please pay attention to the ‘direction instructions’ in bold capital letters.
6) Because this is about sexual health & relationships, some of the questions are quite personal. It’s up to you what questions you want to answer.
We hope to have this work completed by July / August 2009 and the results will be on our website as soon as they become available.
There is a glossary of terms for download at the foot of this news article if you are unsure of the terms being used.
