LGBT Youth Scotland’s national conference – inCLuDe Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Young People - will be held on the 4th July 08 at Westpark conference centre in Dundee.
This conference will bring together CLD professionals from across Scotland to explore the benefits of actively including LGBT young people in their service provision, and to give practical advice and support on how this can be achieved.

The events will include
- Speaker Professor Howard Sercombe, University of Strathclyde, Community Education
- Forum Theatre production on one young person’s experience of homophobia, created and performed by young people
- A range of practical workshop sessions including ‘How to set up an LGBT specific service’, ‘All about Transgender Young People’, ‘Supporting LGBT Young People’ and ‘ Improving your services for inspection’. Each workshop will develop action points which will be made available and can then be utilised by delegates on return to work.
Each delegate will receive a delegate pack with a collection of resources on a USB memory stick, with hard copies available on the day. The event will give delegates an opportunity to find out more about the LGBT Charter of Rights and to receive ongoing assistance to take you through this process, including an opportunity to win free LGBT awareness training on the day.
