Online Services

For a lot of young people who are questioning their sexual orientation and/or gender identity, there can be a lot of fear and stigma around talking to other people face to face about how they feel, where to go for advice and support, and to meet other young people who are going through the same process.

To make it easier for young people to access information and support regardless of where they are in Scotland, we will be delivering advice, information and support, and activism work online along with volunteers.

This work involves delivering information, advice, support and referrals online using a range of methods including:

  • Outreach work on social networking sites such as Bebo and Facebook
  • Providing a safe online space for people to chat about how to challenge homophobia in their communities on our forums
  • Text message support through our new national text support service
  • Training young people and adults to use information communications technology (ICT) as an outreach, support and activism tool
