Glasgow

So you’re lookin for some information about Glasgow’s LGBT Youth are you?  Then you’ve come to the right place!

Glasgow is full to the brim with services for LGBT folks but seein how we’re called LGBT Youth Scotland we’re just gonna look at what’s goin on for the young people out there.

Vivid Youth

“Never forget you’re a Vividette!”

VividYouth is all about you, plain and simple.  We operate out of the Glasgow LGBT Centre and our goal is to create a safe, friendly and confidential environment for young people, where they can meet new friends, get involved in projects, get support and advice but most importantly have a laugh.

Weekly we have the Vivid Unders with a wide selection of workshops, sessions and at times pant wetting laughter.  These nights are for young people aged 13 to 17.  We have a pretty cool group of regulars who are just waiting to meet you.

Any questions regarding Vivid Unders, just send an e-mail to info@lgbtyouth.org.uk

Weekly we have the Vivid Overs with Jean and Joe providing a mid week break for young people aged 18 to 25.  They deliver sessions and workshops of various issues requested by the group and somehow manage to get through every week in a professional manner…unless we play Fruit Basket.  In that instance, all bets are off!

For more information regarding Vivid Overs, all you need to do is e-mail info@lgbtyouth.org.uk

Glasgow Women’s Library

Glasgow Women's Library is a provider of information by and about women. It is a popular meeting place for women, running workshops, talks, radical knitting groups and much more.

The library is currently preparing for relocation to the Mitchell Library, but is continuing to run events and courses.

Glasgow University LGBT Students' Association

Glasgow University has one of the biggest LGBT university groups in Glasgow and is open to everyone, including non-students.

The LGBT offers support and information whilst also arranging social activities and or meetings. Get some information, meet other lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender students and have fun with like-minded people.

Their meetings and events are always open to anyone who wishes to come along and they usually meet twice a week during term time. They offer drop-in facilities in the afternoon and can also arrange for you to speak to a peer support volunteer if you just want to talk.
