The Communications Act (2003) is really relevant for everyone using any means of information communications technology (ICT),

It outlines what you can and can't use ICT for,

Without legal jargon, it generally says:

"If someone uses a communications system, whether it be phone, text, email, internet forum, and sends voice (phonecall), photos, text messages or obscene/inappropriate comments, which cause alarm, inconvenience, annoyance or generally bug the happiness of the recipient or any other person receiving/viewing it, they’ve broken the law!"

This covers spam/junk, being abusive, sending inappropriate images/content, being overly sexual towards someone, and also being a constant pain or bullying people!
