Equality and Human Rights Training for Youth Workers
LGBT Youth Scotland's Training Team will be running 10 free Equality and Human Rights training days for youth workers, volunteers and youth work managers.
These full-day training modules introduce key human rights principles and current equality issues across the six statutory equality mandates (age, disability, gender including gender identity, race, religion or belief, sexual orientation) to youth workers and youth work managers.
The learning outcomes for the sessions are that participants will:
- Have gained an understanding of how prejudice, discrimination and harassment affect young people and their life chances
- Be more confident to challenge prejudice and discrimination
- Be aware how building equality and human rights principles into your service can benefit all young people and improve the quality of your service
