Cachín Cachán Cachunga!

A Monthly Queer & Trans Night of Dance, Film, Poetry & Music
7:30pm - Tuesday 18 August
Only £3/£2!

We apologise that the event is not wheelchair accessible, we are working on it.

After four smashing events, Cachín Cachán Cachunga! returns to The Street on 18 August, with another fun and unusual lineup of entertainment. You’ll be treated to Afro-Cuban dance, an experimental short film from Scotland (via Argentina), poetry from the heart of Glasgow, and poetry-music fusion like you’ve never seen it before. Followed by DJ Lily and general merriment.

Featuring: Zorras, Lily, Kristi Taylor & Ariadna Battich.

Please note that due to Licensing Laws that this event is open to over 18's only.

Click here if you are under 18 and living in Edinburgh to find out about our youth groups.

Cachín Cachán Cachunga! is the brainchild of  poet/multimedia artist Sandra Alland & musician Y. Josephine (Zorras), and dancer Lily. The third Tuesday of each month, the three artists bring something new to display from their disciplines, as well as inviting guest artists to participate. The other invited guests for August are Argentine filmmaker and photographer, Ariadna Battich, with her short, For My Sister; and Glasgow  poet and visual artist, Kristi Taylor, with A Transsexual’s A-Z of Urban Survival.

15 September, 2009: Zorras, Lily, Gein Wong & TBA
