Vision

LGBT Youth Scotland proactively empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people to make positive choices about their lives.

LGBT Youth Scotland’s vision is that every LGBT young person will be included in the life of Scotland and shall:

• Have a safe and supportive upbringing
• Be able to grow up happy and healthy
• Be able to reach their full potential

Strategic Objectives

LGBT Youth Scotland is committed to the inclusion of LGBT young people in the life of Scotland. Our strategic objectives are:

• Be the champion of LGBT young people in Scotland
• Support LGBT young people as active citizens
• Build confidence in others

Values

LGBT Youth Scotland proactively empowers lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender young people to make positive choices about their lives.

We take our place alongside LGBT young people to support them in securing their place throughout society as equal and active citizens, through advocating their voice, community and network of LGBT youth groups throughout Scotland.

We will share what we learn in order to challenge prejudice and bring about positive change in attitudes, policy and services.

We aim to achieve our mission by providing opportunities, services and consultancy respectful of difference, free from prejudice and which are user-led, safe and in partnership with our allies.
